Exposure to noise which is more than 80dB can lead to permanent hearing loss. Examples of loud noise that can damage our inherent hearing capacity are, traffic noise at a busy junction, industrial noise, machinery noise, loud music at pubs, live concerts etc. Short term exposure to loud noise can also lead to a temporary change in hearing (your ears may feel stuffed up) or a ringing in your ears (tinnitus). These short-term problems may go away within a few minutes or hours after leaving the noisy area. However, repeated exposure to loud noise can lead to permanent tinnitus and/or hearing loss.
As nothing can replace our natural hearing, we at Hearing Wellness Clinic Pvt. Ltd. give top priority to hearing protection as well. Our ear protective devices (EPD) are of international standards which are customized based on one’s ear canal size. We consider one’s need for protection before advising them on the type of EPD to use. For eg: DJ’s and musicians are advised to go in for our Musicians ear plugs where as an industrial worker is advised to use noise filters or Solid ear plugs. Our EPD’s include swimmer’s ear plugs, Noise filters, Musician’s ear plugs, Solid ear plugs and sleeping ear plugs. All these are highly durable, made with the finest imported soft material with the EDP withstanding any kind of wear and tear.
Those who generally work or happen to frequent places where the noise is unavoidable are advised to use an EPD. Traffic policemen, DJ’s, RJ’s, Industrial workers, young party crowd, and regular swimmers are few of them.
